RESEARCH
The central task of the Landscape and Environment Programme is to commission outstanding research. To see the aims and objectives of the Programme click here.
The majority of the Programme's £5.5 million budget funds successful research bids by UK academics. The Programme invited applications for four types of funding: larger grants, smaller grants, networks and workshops and collaborative studentships. A total of 12 larger grants, 9 smaller grants, 11 networks and workshops and 5 studentships were awarded.
Currently the workshops and smaller grants have been completed, whilst the larger grants and studentships are on-going until the culmination of the Programme in 2010.
The research covers a wide range of topics, and looks at landscape and the environment in the UK and beyond.
