Researching Environmental Change networks event archive

Researching Environmental Change Network awards  (RECN) were designed to be event based projects. All took the form of exploratory workshops. The idea behind the networks was to emphasise the wealth of knowledge and expertise in the arts and humanities that can be brought to bear upon the environmental change debate including, for example, creativity, ethics, aesthetics, critical reflection, language and discourse, historical perspective and through exploring cultural values and imagination. All thirteen funded networks held a series of workshops between July 2010 and October 2011. The majority of events were held in collaboration with external partners including National Trust, English Heritage, Royal Geographical Society, Royal Meteorological Society, and the British Library. For more details and event resources please see the individual project research pages.
